Based on the academy award-winning 1991 Disney animated feature and a 18th-century French fairytale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a strong and intelligent young woman who feels out of place in her small provincial town. When her father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her imprisonment by the castle’s seemingly hideous and heartless master, The Beast.
Once a young and proud prince, The Beast is now under the magical curse of a powerful enchantress as punishment for his selfish and unkind ways. But there is hope, if The Beast can learn to love another and be loved in return, the curse will be broken. If not The Beast and his household will be doomed for all time.
